On behalf of the High Atlas Foundation (HAF) in Morocco, we are pleased to invite you to attend our UNCCD COP17 side event, "Women’s Leadership for Land Restoration, Resilient Livelihoods, and Climate Finance," hosted by HAF Vice President Souad Agnaou.

This international panel brings together women leaders, conservation practitioners, social entrepreneurs, and a public-sector forestry representative. Drawing on experiences from Morocco and other countries, the speakers will explore how community knowledge, women-led organizations, creative enterprise, institutional support, agroforestry, and climate finance can work together to restore degraded land and improve rural livelihoods.
The High Atlas Foundation will contribute Morocco’s experience in community-led agroforestry, women’s empowerment, and the development of inclusive carbon-finance approaches. The broader panel will position this experience within an international conversation about locally led land restoration and women’s economic and environmental leadership.
